Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Maimon (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in the Maimon Kids mobile app and on maimonkids.com (the “Service”). The app is designed for children aged 1–5. All purchases and sensitive settings are intended for parents only and are protected by a parent gate.

Teacher Approved Commitment

We aim to meet Google Play’s Teacher Approved requirements: no ads, no behavioral tracking of children, data minimization, and a parent gate for purchases and settings.

1) Who is responsible

2) What we (do not) collect

  • No child accounts. Core content is available without creating an account.
  • No email list or newsletters. We do not collect emails inside the app.
  • No ads or ad SDKs. We do not show ads or use advertising identifiers for targeting.
  • From parents if they contact us: Parent email and message content solely to respond to support.
  • Purchases: Handled only by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store payment card numbers.
  • Diagnostics (limited): Basic, non-identifying diagnostics (e.g., crash logs, app version, device type) to keep the Service reliable. We do not link diagnostics to a child’s identity and do not use analytics for advertising.
  • We do not collect: a child’s precise location, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or social/advertising IDs for profiling.

3) How we use information

  • Provide and improve app features, stability, and safety.
  • Process parent-initiated purchases via Apple/Google storefronts.
  • Respond to parent support requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations and prevent misuse.

4) Parent gate (purchases & settings)

Access to purchases (unlocking full content) and parent-only settings is protected by a
parental gate (e.g., a simple math challenge). Children cannot complete purchases or change
sensitive settings.

5) Children’s privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K aligned)

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that a child
provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. Parents may request
deletion at any time (see Section 9).

6) Sharing of information

  • No sale of data.
  • No sharing for marketing.
  • Service providers (if any): We may use child-safe processors for hosting or diagnostics under strict contracts. They act on our instructions and cannot use data for their own purposes.

7) Payments and subscriptions

To unlock full access, a parent may purchase via the Apple App Store and/or Google Play.
Transactions are handled by the relevant store under its own terms and privacy policies.
We do not store payment details.

8) Cookies (website)

Our website may use essential cookies for basic functionality. We avoid non-essential
cookies (such as analytics) unless we clearly request and receive consent.

9) Parents’ rights and controls

Parents can access, correct, or delete parent-provided information (e.g., support emails) and may request deletion of any information mistakenly provided by a child. Contact: support@maimonkids.com or mail [postal address].

10) Data retention

  • Parent support emails: kept only as long as needed to provide support and meet legal requirements.
  • Diagnostics: retained for a limited period for stability and security, then deleted or anonymized.

11) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate for a
children’s app. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

12) International transfers

If data is processed outside your country, we apply appropriate safeguards (e.g., contractual protections), consistent with applicable laws.

13) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post updates here and revise the “Last updated” date. For significant changes, we will provide in-app notice to parents where appropriate.
